NextHome wanted to implement a formal revenue share model to define how commissions would be distributed across its agent network. The challenge was to design a system that could clearly manage splits, upgrade conditions, and capping rules in a structured and scalable way.
The business required a flexible agent onboarding process, including both standard plans and a franchise-based entry option. Each joining path required different revenue-share conditions, adding operational complexity.
The client wanted to introduce a 6% franchise fee model with its own earning structure and no registration fee. This required a clear method to separate franchise deductions from primary commission payouts.
Real estate transactions were recorded in SkySlope. The client wanted a system to import these transactions and apply the revenue-share/franchise model rules for appropriate commission splits.
The system needed to securely charge monthly subscription fees and confirm successful payments before activating or maintaining agent status. This required reliable recurring billing with proper payment validation during registration and ongoing access.
A configurable revenue share system was implemented within the real estate MLM platform, with a default 80:20, with an additional 70:30 plan. Commission capping at $20,000 is enforced automatically, followed by conditional post-cap deductions based on transaction value.
The platform now supports both paid and franchise-based joining options. Revenue share rules are assigned automatically based on how an agent joins, reducing manual intervention.
The 6% franchise model was structured with precise calculation logic. The system deducts 6% from the total commission first, after which the applicable revenue share structure (70:30 or 80:20) is applied. Agents under this model receive lifetime access without recurring subscription charges.
Verified transactions imported from SkySlope now flow directly into the commission engine. This ensures commissions are calculated only on approved deals, improving accuracy and transparency across the network.
The team integrated Stripe with recurring subscription logic to handle monthly subscription fees. The system automatically confirms payment status, activates accounts upon successful charges, and restricts access if payments fail. This ensures accurate and controlled billing management.
